Leadership

Influencing and guiding other people toward a goal.

The framework names four key leadership skills: building productive teams, negotiating conflicts, motivating people, and articulating the vision and mission so others can act on it. Motivated employees produce more, leave less often, and build better relationships with customers and with each other.

Communication
Leadership sets direction and motivates; communication is the skill set that carries the message clearly, persuasively, and with real listening.
Leading
Leading is one of the four management functions; leadership is the broader ability to influence and guide that the function draws on.
Management
Leadership influences people; management also plans, organizes, and evaluates resources that are not people at all.
