Leading
The management function of motivating, guiding, and influencing people to do the work.
Leading is the function most visible in short, ordinary moments: a pre-shift huddle, a piece of feedback, a conflict settled between two employees. It is where leadership and communication skills are actually spent.

- Leadership
- Leading is one of the four management functions; leadership is the broader ability to influence and guide that the function draws on.
- Organizing
- Organizing assigns the work; leading motivates and guides the people once the work is assigned.
