Value-Based Pricing
Setting a price based on the perceived value of the product to the customer rather than on cost or on rivals.
Often confused with
- Competitor-Based Pricing
- Competitor based pricing looks sideways at rivals; value based pricing looks at the customer's own sense of worth.
- Cost-Based Pricing
- Value based pricing starts from what the customer thinks it is worth; cost based pricing starts from the ledger.
