Every Feature Is Included.
Live Captions, Each Word Highlighted
MAMAKO captions the teacher live and highlights each word as it is said. Captions sit in a caption bar over the slides, or fill the screen in board mode, on the laptop the teacher already projects from.
Translation That Keeps Key Terms in English
The teacher’s own browser translates the captions, so no caption text leaves the laptop for translation. The lesson’s key terms stay in English with the student’s word in brackets, so students learn the subject words their tests use.
Languages Side by Side on the Board
Board mode shows more than one language at once, side by side, so students who share a room but not a home language follow the same lesson.
The Recap and Words from Today
After class, MAMAKO writes a short recap of the lesson and a list of the day’s words with their meanings. The teacher checks both and shares them with students by link.
The Weekly Summary
When the teacher asks, MAMAKO drafts a summary of a class’s week from its lessons: the topics, the key points and the key terms with their meanings. The teacher edits it and can translate and share it.
Parent Meetings and Staff Meetings
MAMAKO captions parent meetings and staff meetings too. People at the table scan a code to read the captions on their own phones. At a parent meeting, a parent can answer by speaking into their phone, and MAMAKO translates the reply into English for the teacher.
Student Screens
When the teacher turns Student Screens on, students follow a live lesson on a school laptop. They type the class code, with no account, and each laptop translates the captions into the language the student picks.
Common Questions.
What counts as an hour?
Time MAMAKO spends captioning a lesson or a meeting for your school. Reading, editing and sharing recaps and summaries after class uses none of it.
Do meetings count?
Yes. Parent meetings and staff meetings draw on the same pool as lessons.
Who can use the pool?
Every teacher your school brings on. We add the teachers your school names, and all of them draw on the one pool.
What do students pay?
Nothing. Students never pay and need no account. They read the recaps their teacher shares by link, and follow a live lesson on a laptop with the class code.
