For teachers who mark essays
Mark Essays by Voice. Your Words, on Every Page.
Photograph a stack of essays with your phone. Talk through each one at your computer, the way you would speak to the student. MAMAKO Feedback writes your comments up in your own style, numbers them and pins them to the page, ready to adjust. Students open a link; you download the PDF.
One essay of up to 4 pages, no card needed.
Step 1
Photograph Each Essay
Open the camera page on your phone from the code on your screen and shoot each page. Pages land in the batch as you go, and a landscape page turns with one tap.
Step 2
Talk It Through
Open the essay on your computer and say what you would write in the margin. One recording for the whole essay, or a short clip on one spot.
Step 3
Comments, Placed
Your recording becomes numbered comments in your Comment Style, pinned to the page. Drag any one to the right spot, add a rubric line, or keep a note to yourself.
What Comes With It
- Your Comment Style, set once and followed in every write-up.
- Rubrics, so a comment can name the criterion it speaks to.
- A link for each student, with the comments on their own pages and your voice where you chose it.
- A PDF of the essay with the comments in the margins, for printing or the gradebook.
- Classes, so each essay matches its student by name.
- The sample is yours to keep: one essay, every feature, no card.
One Plan, Top-Ups When a Stack Comes In
$9.95 a month
$9.95 a month for 200 pages. Or $99.95 a year, two months free.
A page is one photo of one side of paper, so a two-page essay is two pages. 200 pages covers a class set every week.
One essay of up to 4 pages, no card needed.
- Top-ups
- Heavy month? Add 50 pages for $3 or 100 pages for $5. Top-up pages are for the month you buy them in.
- Cancelling
- Cancel any time. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.
- Pages a month
- 200, on the monthly and the annual plan alike.
What Happens to Student Work
- Photos, recordings and comments are deleted 30 days after you last edit or share the essay. The PDF you download is your copy.
- Students open their link without an account. Only your class list holds their names and school emails, and it goes when you delete the class.
- A writing model turns your recording into comments in your style. It never grades on its own and never sees an essay you did not photograph.
