Net Worth

Everything owned minus everything owed, for a business or for a household.

Personal net worth is typically calculated for a whole household and adds savings and investments, property, and personal possessions, then subtracts every debt. Lenders ask households for it on loan applications, and planners use it to judge whether savings are sufficient to retire on.

Same equation as the shop, different zeros.
