Loss Aversion
A behavioral bias in which a loss feels worse than an equal gain feels good, which tempts investors to sell after a dip and lock the loss in.
Often confused with
- Overconfidence
- Overconfidence takes too much risk; loss aversion refuses risk and sells too early.
