Indirect Channel

A channel that routes a product through intermediaries such as wholesalers or retailers on its way to the final customer.

Partners bring expertise and networks, and their space is often already dominated by rivals, which makes access the hard part.

Often confused with

Direct Channel
A direct channel has no other business between seller and buyer; an indirect channel adds at least one intermediary who resells.
