Customer Profile

A fictional description of one sample customer, built from demographic data, psychographic data, and that person's wants, needs, and preferences.

The profile is invented, but every line on it should be supported by data from real buyers.

Market Segmentation
A profile personifies one customer; segmentation sorts a whole market into groups.
Target Customer
A target customer is a real segment; a customer profile is one invented person written to stand for that segment.
