Cash Flow Statement
A financial statement that tracks cash coming in and cash going out over a set period, showing what the business held at the start and what it holds at the end.
The gap between this statement and the income statement is timing. Revenue is recorded when it is earned; cash is recorded when it moves, and only cash pays a bill.
Profit is annual; payroll is Friday.
